Government Prepares To Upgrade Food Safety Rules

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will bring current federal food processing safety rules up to date in an effort to provide additional protection against foodborne illness.

Editor's Insight: It's about time the federal government upgraded its good manufacturing practices, seeing that the standards haven't changed since 1986. Since then, incidents of foodborne illnesses have increased and the public has become alarmed.
