Susan Hartley, president of Coffee Perks in Jacksonville, Fla. and Coffee Perks Franchise Inc., announced her resignation today “to pursue new dreams.” Hartley, who was named by the National Automatic Merchandising Association as its 2007 Coffee Service Operator of the Year, sold her interests in the companies and passed on leadership to her existing partners and vice presidents, Christian Hosking and Beverly Cleary.
Hartley said in a prepared statement, “It is time to pass the torch and I am very proud to know that my clients and employees will be in good hands with Christian and Beverly. I am very appreciative of the years of loyalty from my customers and employees and believe that the same core values will continue. It will be exciting to see where Christian and Beverly take the company.”
Hartley plans to continue her retail venture “The Gift Horse” an equestrian paradise, as well as pursuing her and her daughter Jaimee’s show jumping careers. “We plan to travel the show circuit nationally. “ My heart is leading me to spend as much time with my family, Jody and Jaimee, as possible and support them in their endeavors; however, true entrepreneurs never retire.”
