Aramark Refreshment Services Inc. has acquired the assets of Coffee One Service Inc., a coffee service business based in Hialeah, Fla., from owner Carlos Zagales for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition, which was completed on Aug. 25, 2006, brings approximately 300 client locations to the Aramark client base. The company has five employees. Rod Armstrong, vice president of business development, Aramark Refreshment Services, said the operation will be folded into Aramark's Fort Lauderdale, Fla. market center. He said Zagales will remain on a temporary basis to oversee the transition. Armstrong was uncertain how many of the company's employees will remain with Aramark.
