Editor’s Insight: This is a very comprehensive column that refreshment service operators will find useful in educating customers about some of the benefits of bottled water. While the column concludes that convenience is the only “real” benefit that bottled water provides, this is a benefit that vending operators need to continuously emphasize since it has always been a major reason for their existence.
One problem the vending industry faces is that consumers in general do not recognize the value they pay for when they buy products from vending machines.
