Poland Spring Responds To Initiatives To Restrict Water Bottling In Maine

Poland Spring, a Nestle Water company, has responded to initiatives in Maine to restrict water bottling by increasing its public-relations efforts and saying it might have to leave the state to develop new water sources, according to The Portland Press Herald in Portland, Me.

How come no one ever fights against Pepsico and Coke while they create unhealthy softdrinks and help make America Obese.....I wonder why we have such health problems, dont drink water because its bad for the environment, haha. Most people just have no clue. Same people that probably drive large Suvs

If Poland Spring ssys that they "might have to leave the state", then why are they fighting so hard for a truck station in a rural residential area. Nestle/Poland Spring has now sued 5 times over decisions that have been in the peoples favor.
Nestle claims to have a "good neighbor" policy. I guess I glad I dont live in that neighborhood!

Bottled waters healthy only if you dont consider the sizable impacts of bottling it in a rural area and transporting it great distances; consider seeing all those water bottles 1/4 filled with oil, and youll get an idea of the impact.
Then theres the little question of Poland Spring repeatedly suing the tiny town of Fryeburg in an attempt to locate a pumping station there that the towns residents clearly dont want.
Thats what youre supporting.
