Former Hermitage, Pa. Vending Employee Charged In Vending Burglaries


A former vending company employee who police say stole more than $1,300 in vending machine break-ins was charged with theft and criminal mischief, according to The Herald in Sharon, Pa.

The break-ins began occurring in June 5 when the man quit his job with Young's Vending Service Inc., Hermitage, Pa.

Through July 17, he stole $1,384 in cash and coins and caused about $900 in damage to machines, police said. Police said the man broke into the machines with a key he kept from working at Young's and with bolt cutters.
