Report: This Is The Age Of Unattended Retail

Unattended retail is growing fast. In the US market, the interactive kiosk industry has grown from $533.37 million in 2013 to $716.97 million in 2016, according to The Kiosk and Retail Report, a USA Technologies collaboration with PYMNTS.com, now available to download through the PYMNTS.com website. Unattended retail has become a way of life for much of the globe. They provide convenience and an efficient experience for consumers, and are intuitive and responsive for operators.  

According to the report, food and beverage kiosks are the most common kind of kiosks in the US, accounting for a combined 35 percent of machines in the field in 2016. The largest growth in kiosks in the U.S. between 2013 and 2016 was in vehicle-charging kiosk types, with 153 percent growth. This market is projected to continue with the highest growth of the 11 markets studied, at a CAGR of 22.29 percent through 2019.
