Maryland County City Council Passes Healthy Vending Law

ABC 7 WJLA reports that a new law has been passed by the Prince George's County City Council in Maryland requiring 50 percent of healthy snacks to be carried in vending machines in county buildings. Under the new law, healthy snacks must meet recommended nutritional guidelines for sugar, salt and fat, as well as other rules set by the American Heart Association.
