Nestlé Waters Partners With AmeriCares, Feeding America And Gleaning For The World To Deliver Bottled Water To Louisiana Communities

STAMFORD, Conn., Aug. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Nestlé Waters North America and its disaster relief partners, AmeriCares, Feeding America and Gleaning For the World, are delivering more than 475,000 bottles of water to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where a catastrophic flood has displaced thousands of people. Twenty-two truckloads, carrying 21,600 bottles each of Ozarka® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water, are being dispatched to disaster relief sites and food banks.

An estimated 60,000 homes have been damaged, while schools and businesses have been shut down for days. The current flooding in Louisiana is the worst natural disaster to strike the United States since Superstorm Sandy in 2012, according to the Red Cross.

Deliveries are currently underway to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, the Salvation Army of Baton Rouge, and the Healing Place Church and will continue over the next several weeks.
