Crane Merchandising Systems Adds Crane Cashless, VendMAX Route Driver Applications To Mobile Portfolio

April 11, 2016

WILLISTON, S.C., April 11, 2016 -- Crane Merchandising Systems, a Crane Co. company and the leading global manufacturer of innovative solutions for vending machines, cashless systems, software and wireless communications, announced today the launch of two new mobile applications to support vending operators with Crane Cashless and VendMAX.

The Crane Cashless Mobile app offers a powerful set of tools for Crane Cashless and telemetry customers giving service technicians real-time access to device status, alerts, configuration data, troubleshooting tools and training materials. The app enables them to quickly assess and resolve service issues. The app also provides one-click access to Crane’s support team.

The VendMAX Route Driver Mobile app is a powerful and easy-to-use solution that replaces traditional handhelds with a smartphone or tablet. With this app operators can reduce their costs and improve their operations with real-time synchronization of data over cellular or Wi-Fi – making inventory data immediately available for improved pre-kit accuracy - especially for machines that are serviced daily.

Both apps are available for Apple (iOS) and Android smartphones and tablets.

“Mobile applications allow operators to leverage devices that most of us already have in our pocket. With mobile, the user interface is streamlined and optimized – simplifying training and daily use,” states Brendan Kehoe, VPGM of Streamware. ”We will continue to support traditional handhelds, but many operators are looking to leverage an array of mobile apps to drive productivity. Our goal is to always provide the flexibility and choice to our customers while giving them solutions that will help drive their profitable growth.”

“Crane hit it out of the park with the Service Tech Mobile App last year in terms of simplicity and performance, and we are field testing the new Route Driver Mobile App now, with the same high expectations,” said Steve Foley, President, Foley Food Service. “With Crane, we have the option of using the handheld or a smart device. That flexibility is important to us, because we have locations where phones are not allowed,

and we rely on the handhelds. Having these choices allows us to provide the best service possible to our customers.”

Crane’s mobile applications are powered by Streamware Connect, Crane’s global device and data integration platform that connects data from and to practically any device or partner and integrates seamlessly with VendMAX.

Operators can learn about the features of these applications by visiting Crane’s booth (Booth 1200) at the NAMA OneShow in Chicago, April 13-15.
