PORTLAND, OR (March 30, 2016) – PayRange Inc., maker of the world’s simplest mobile payment solution for machines, announced that effective March 31, 2016, the one-time price for a BluKey™ MDB mobile payment device will be $79 USD and their BluKey Plus™ device will be set at $99 USD. There is no increase to customers with existing devices as this increase affects initial cost to purchase new devices
This is the first price increase for the devices since the company originally announced the product in 2014. While the BluKey hardware is the same, the company has spent millions of dollars on developing software that powers its Smart Machine Platform™. In addition to cashless mobile payment, this platform provides for offers and discounts, data and analytics, operator app with sales dashboards, real-time web console, and much more.
The company employs an engineering team in the Silicon Valley that has been creating cutting edge software for the vending and amusement industries running on the platform powered by the BluKey devices. This innovation has led to 24 patents that have been filed or issued in just the last two years. Since launch, all software updates and features have been provided to existing customers for no additional charge so the first BluKey sold has the same features as the ones being sold today.
