Lavazza Announces Acquisition Of Carte Noire

Lavazza has acquired the leading brand in the French coffee market, Carte Noire, according to Comunicaffe. The deal was inked on Feb. 29th after it was approved by the French Antitrust Authority and the European Union.

The acquisition includes Carte Noire’s brands and operations in the European Economic Area, the source reports, including roast and ground, pods and Nespresso-compatible capsules.

Carte Noire went on the market for sale in Feb. 2015 by Mondelez International.
