Data from the restaurant industry shows there have been exponential growth in digital ordering by consumers in a SmartBlog about food trends. The author shows that digital orders have actual doubled each year since 1990, with chain pizza restaurants already processing 50 percent of their orders online and the rest of the restaurant industry catching up fast. In the next seven years, it is predicted that $100 billion in sales will transfer over to digital ordering.
