High School Student Creates First-Aid Vending Machine, Receives Patent

Taylor Rosenthal, a freshman at Opelika High School in Opelika, AL, has received a patent for his creation of a first-aid vending machine called RecMed, according to Oanow.com. The vending machine functions similar to a Redbox machine, the source reports, and dispenses first aid supplies. Rosenthal hopes to place the machines at amusement parks, recreational centers, convention venues, football stadiums, etc.

Production of a prototype will be underway soon, the source reports. Meanwhile, Rosenthal has a pending order with Six Flags for the first 100 units.
