Gallup: U.S. Coffee Consumption Is Steady

The number of coffee drinkers in the U.S.— along with the amount of coffee they drink—is steady, according to recent Gallup findings. Sixty-four percent of U.S. adults report drinking at least one cup of coffee on an average day. Additionally, coffee drinkers currently report consuming just under three cups of coffee per day, a number similar to 2012 and 1999 reports.

Gallup found that coffee drinkers tend to be older, with 74 percent of adults 55 and over consuming coffee daily while only 50 percent of people ages 18 to 34 drink it. Women tend to drink more coffee than men per day as well, the poll found. View the full results here.
