NAMA Fly-In Attracts The Industry's Next Generation

June 30, 2015

CHICAGO – June 29, 2015 – The industry’s next generation will add a valuable perspective at the NAMA Fly-In, taking place July 21-22 in Washington, DC.

“My daughter Katherine, a recent Evanston High School graduate, is participating in the Fly-In as a great way to enhance her understanding of the industry and overall government affairs. It’s also an opportunity for our elected officials to see first-hand the family involvement in businesses like ours,” said Mark Stein, co-owner of Mark Vend and former NAMA board member.

“As a way to extend the breadth and scope of the Fly-In, we are encouraging members to invite their family members and young leadership to participate. Important to note is that outside of travel and hotel expenses, the Fly-In offers an invaluable learning opportunity with no cost to participate onsite,” said Eric Dell, NAMA’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.

“We are combining the Fly-In with a family vacation to our nation’s Capital,” said Jim Brinton, NAMA Chair Emeritus. “We look at this as a fantastic opportunity to come to Washington, D.C. and show our family a close look at how the process works.”

NAMA’s inaugural Fly-In, to be held July 21-22 in Washington, D.C., is the first and most comprehensive vending and refreshment services industry legislative effort to date, featuring over 180 registered participants from 34 states and Washington, DC. The Capitol Hill Day portion of the Fly-In involves meetings with NAMA members and elected officials focusing on key industry issues including nutrition, coin and currency and small business regulatory reform. Event sponsors include over 46 of the industry’s leading companies. To register for the event, please visit www.namavoice.org.
