Guerilla Vending Brings Custom Vending Machines To D.C. Bars, Restaurants

April 17, 2015

Guerilla Vending, located in Washington, D.C., is rethinking vending with refurbished machines and unusual offerings. The company creates specialty vending machines that will soon begin appearing at local bars and restaurants in the D.C. area, Washington City Paper reports. One of the company’s first machines dispenses a variety of products including headphones, rice crackers, phone chargers and teriyaki nori to name a few. Every day—and not so every day—things that passersby might need.

The company’s next creation is a refrigerated banh mi and beef jerky vending machine. Mike Galyen, one of Guerilla Vending’s creators, as well as a sous chef, will create the snacks.

Guerilla Vending sources hardware from different companies and then refurbishes the machines to fit their products, the source reports. All machines take credit, $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills.
