Vending Industry Mourns Loss Of Edward Weber

Vending operator and longtime industry member Edward “Eddie” Weber passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the age 84. Weber was the founder of Lincoln State Insurance and Master Brew Beverages, a family-owned full-service vending and OCS company serving the Chicagoland and surrounding areas. The National Coffee Service Association recognized Master Brew Beverages as the best in the coffee/vending industry by awarding the company the "Silver Service Award" in 1990 to1991. In 1997, Weber and his sons, Ron and Joey, were named Automatic Merchandiser’s "Operators of the Year”. Weber was one of the first OCS operators in the market when he launched Master Brew with a partner in 1966. Weber’s sons continue to operate the business.

Weber is preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara, nee Taradash; he is the father of Michele Weber (Ben) Hurwitz, Ron (Lisa) and Joey (Jackie); he is the cherished "Papa" of Molly, Adam, Rachel, Sam, Cassie, Brandon, Justin and Mallory; the dear brother of Lou (Linda) and the late Arthur (late Sylvia). Eddie was lovingly cared for by Diana. Weber was a founding member of the NCSA (National Coffee Service Association), a little league coach, pilot, "Officer Friendly," world traveler, Village of Northbrook Safety Commission member and proud of his youth on Chicago's West Side.
