Innovative products or original vending concepts are being particularly highlighted at Eu'Vend & coffeena (24-26 September 2015 in Cologne): Koelnmesse has been granting the innovation award 'Vending Star' since 2007 in conjunction with the German Vending Association (BDV) at Eu'Vend & coffeena Night (25 September 2015). The award will be given in the categories of technical devices, aids for optimizing the operation of vending machines, innovative vending products and concepts. The competition aims to optimize the application possibilities and services in the vending field and thus also acts as the instigator for the branch. From all the applications, an international expert jury nominates three products or competition entries per category which will be presented during the fair in the special exhibit area 'Vending Innovation Area'. Interested exhibitors of the Eu'Vend & coffeena can still apply up to 22 May 2015.
A branch's own innovative capacity determines its future. Even in the vending industry the development of innovative ideas is accelerated and promoted. That's how the company CA Vending Krugmann GmbH & Co. KG won the grand prize in 2013 'Vending Star 2013' for the concept "Coffee & Cash to go". With the award, the expert jury recognized the innovative capacity and boldness of exploring new paths in Public Vending.
The jury determines the assessment criteria in the framework of the competition by the fulfilment of functional requirements, the quality of the ergonomics (in technical devices and aids) and the degree of innovation compared to existing technical devices, aids, concepts and products.
