Restaurant Sales Slow, But Up 3.2 Percent

March 13, 2015

Same-store sales for the restaurant industry grew in February by 3.2 percent, a slow down from the 6 percent in January, according to Nation’s Restaurant News. Much of that growth was in fine dining, of which vending wouldn’t be affected. However, for the rest, sales appeared to be coming from a combination of higher prices and more gourmet (higher priced) food options, reports NRN. Traffic actually fell 0.7 percent during the month.
