Minnesota College Students Vote To Ban The Sale Of Plastic Water Bottles

The Bemidji State University student government unanimously passed a bill to ban the sale of plastic water bottles on campus, according to the Bemidji Pioneer. The bill is aimed at “fostering environmental sustainability and access to free water rather than commercial water.” The university’s administration would need to approve the bill before it could go into effect in 2016. Two other Minnesota schools—Macalester and the College of Saint Benedict–have banned the sale of plastic water bottles. Full article.
