(CHICAGO) -- December 30, 2014 - Eric Dell, NAMA SVP of Government Affairs announced today that NAMA has created a 2014 micro market advocacy summary to provide members with updates on the year’s regulatory activities and progress in the micro market channel.
The summary includes updates on NAMA’s work with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on food safety, as well as state legislative updates for Arizona, California, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Texas and Washington.
“2014 was an active year for micro market advocacy efforts at all levels of government,” Dell said.
“While meetings have been helpful in laying important groundwork at the federal level with the FDA, most activity has happened at the state and local government levels where NAMA and state council members have been busy working on securing regulations to protect micro markets and food safety,” Dell continued.
