Preliminary Reports Show Apple Pay May Positively Affect Google Wallet Use

Preliminary reports have shown that Apple Pay is increasing near field communication (NFC) volume and helping competitors along the way, according to PYMNTS. Walgreens reported seeing in-store NFC payments double after accepting Apple Pay. Meanwhile, the source reports that Google Wallet, which witnessed slow consumer adoption in the beginning, has seen a boost in mobile transactions recently. Full report.
