ThrowbackThursday: Coca-Cola Brings Back Fan Favorite, SURGE, After 12-Year Hiatus

Sept. 18, 2014

The citrus-flavored sparkling drink SURGE, that was introduced by Coca-Cola in 1996, will be making a comeback after a 12 year hiatus, says the company. The drink was taken off of shelves in the early 2000s. The company says that SURGE is the first discontinued brand it has returned to the market.

SURGE will re-launch in 12-packs of 16-ounce cans with the same design, however, the drink will be sold exclusively through online retailer, Amazon, for a limited time. Full article.
