NAMA Recognizes Karen Webster During Third Annual National Coffee Service Month

Sept. 12, 2014

(CHICAGO)  September 11, 2014 – In honor of National Coffee Service Month, and to highlight the significant and continuing growth of the office coffee service (OCS) market, NAMA recognizes long-standing coffee industry veteran and Coffee Service Committee Member, Karen Webster.

Karen Webster, Chief Financial Officer at Newco Enterprises, Inc., has dedicated her career to coffee, having worked in the OCS industry for 26 years.

I joined Newco in 1988, with a background in finance and human resources. My role in finance afforded me the opportunity to work with our customers, evaluate their needs, and develop affordable finance programs to assist with their purchase of coffee and tea brewing equipment,” Webster said.

She has seen the industry’s evolution, and looking ahead at coffee market trends for the coming year, Webster said single serve coffee products and the variety of brewing and dispensing equipment for coffee are the most significant trends and areas of innovation for the industry. They provide opportunities, but also challenges, she said.

With the numerous single cup and traditional product offerings currently available in the market, educating our customers to determine a brewing solution that is most suitable for their particular account locations and overall business profile will be a primary focus,” Webster said.

An annual CTW attendee, Webster is looking forward to this year’s event in November in Dallas, Texas. “CTW provides a unique forum to meet with customers and other business partners to learn about their challenges, opportunities and current industry trends,” she said. “I look forward to the educational sessions as they will provide a valuable insight to the future of both equipment and product offerings to the industry.”

To get the inside scoop on coffee industry trends, products and innovations, join NAMA at CTW 2014,  Nov. 11-13 at The Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas, Texas. Matching the energy of its host city, this year’s CTW will blend Texas flair and southern hospitality with a fresh new look and feel in one big, bold package.
