(CHICAGO) September 10, 2014 – NAMA’s Government Affairs Division announced today that Charlie Cook, renowned political analyst and columnist for the National Journal, will speak at this year’s Public Policy Conference Industry Partners Dinner – Advocacy in Action 2014.
“We welcome Charlie Cook to our PPC and know our members and industry partners will find tremendous value in his comments on the national political landscape for the upcoming elections and how they impact our industry,” said Eric Dell, NAMA’s SVP of Government Affairs.
In addition to his work at National Journal, Cook is editor and publisher of The Cook Political Report, an independent, non-partisan newsletter providing analysis on U.S. elections, campaigns and political trends, which he founded in 1984.
Widely regarded as a leading authority on U.S. politics and elections, Cook has been featured on several major news networks as a political analyst or election night analyst including, CBS, CNN and NBC News. He is also writes a regular column for The Washington Quarterly.
Cook has been a trusted expert on the national political landscape for two decades. In 2010 he was a co-recipient of the American Political Science Association’s Carey McWilliams award, an honor which recognizes recipients for “a major journalistic contribution to our understanding of politics.” In 2013, Cook served as a Resident Fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
