New Website Unveiled For UK’s Largest Vending Event

Aug. 28, 2014

A new website has been launched from the organisers of the UK’s largest vending, water and coffee exhibition – AVEX 2015.

The event, which will take place at Manchester Central on 30th June – 1st July 2015, is set to attract more than 3,000 visitors looking to network and take part in industry debates around topics including changing technologies, cashless payment systems and health and nutrition.

Run by show organisers the Automatic Vending Association (AVA), the brand new website www.avexshow.co.uk incorporates a user friendly, creative design which is responsive to all desktop and mobile devices. It also boasts an exclusive ‘Exhibitor Zone’, providing secure access to all the show information exhibitors may need, as well as a visitor guide area and photo gallery.

The site features a blog, which is regularly updated by the AVA team, its members and exclusive industry guest bloggers, as well as a news section providing up to the minute news from the coffee, vending, water and HORECA industries.

A unique AVEX 2015 app is also set to be revealed soon. Designed to facilitate easy and effective networking with other delegates and exhibitors at the show via live messaging, and with free wifi available on site, visitors will receive live updates and a bespoke messaging service via the app, enabling them to maximise their event experience.

Rosie Mills, who is the show manager for AVEX 2015, says that next year’s show will be the association’s biggest and best yet: “We’ve invested a great deal of time and budget to ensure that both visitors and exhibitors at AVEX 2015 have an incredible experience – and using the latest app and web technology has a big part to play in that.

“As an industry that is hugely focused on user experience, it’s important to us that the show reflects this, so visitors will really notice our fresh approach next year. One of the key changes will be the addition of new Learning Zones for the first year ever, covering a variety of the latest industry topics and debates.

“There’s so much planned over the two days so the website and app will be crucial in communicating everything that is on offer whilst helping us to provide a truly special experience for visitors.”

Almost 60 per cent of exhibition stand space at AVEX 2015 is already sold out following the AVA’s ballot event in late June, which saw companies including Douwe Egberts, Mars and Siemens secure prime positioning.

The theme for AVEX 2015 is ‘Celebrating 2000 Years of Vending’, marking the 2000 year anniversary of the ancient  Greek mathematician and engineer, Hero of Alexandria, inventing the first ever vending machine which dispensed holy water.

One of the sporting world’s most well-loved characters, Kriss Akabusi, will officially open the exhibition, sharing both his business insight and incredible experiences during his time as an Olympic level athlete.
