NAMA's New "Tech Talks" Seminar To Debut In Las Vegas October 6-7 – Registration Open

Aug. 26, 2014

CHICAGO) August 25, 2014 – Joann DeNardis, NAMA’s Director of Education/Certification announced today that NAMA will debut a new seminar, Tech Talks: Leveraging Vending Technology to Increase Revenue, October 6-7 in Las Vegas, Nev.

“Earlier this year, we surveyed our membership to determine the key areas of education and research that members most valued, and technology ranked number one as the most sought after education topic,” DeNardis said. “We have listened to our members’ needs and are very excited to offer this new, one of a kind program on emerging trends in our industry.”

This new regional technology seminar is specially designed to help vending and micro market operators stay current with industry-specific technology and learn what innovative applications may best enhance their customer experience and integrate seamlessly into their business plan.

“While the proliferation of technology continues, vending and micro market operators need to know what applications to install now while keeping an eye on the near future,” said Dr. Michael Kasavana, NAMA Endowed Professor from Michigan State University. “This program is a valuable tool for all levels of vending and micro market operators, and contains best practices for identifying and implementing technology to boost revenue and drive success.”

The seminar aims to give participants a comprehensive overview of vending technologies, including consumer interfacing, payment solutions and machine interoperability. Day one will feature a half-day of numerous supplier-sponsored meetings and will conclude with a networking reception. Current sponsors include Avanti Markets, 365 Retail Markets, BYNDL and Cantaloupe Systems. Day two will focus on a full day of education, with six presentations on topics ranging from self-service technologies to digital content management and secure networks.

“This is a one-stop shop for all things tech, and includes many of the key thought leaders in the industry as well as an exclusive look at new products,” Dr. Kasvana continued.  “Do not miss this opportunity!”

A second installment of the seminar will take place December 8-9 at The Westin Peachtree in Downtown Atlanta, Ga. The cost for member operators is $399 and those interested can get more details and register at www.vending.org/techtalks.
