U.S. Consumer Confidence Soars To Seven-Year High

Increased employment opportunities, among other factors, has led to the highest U.S. consumer confidence in nearly seven years and brighter views of the economy, according to Bloomberg. The Conference Board, a New York-based research group, announced that its index increased to 90.9 in July, up from its 86.4 index in June. The percentage of consumers expecting business conditions to improve over the next sixth months increased to 20.2 percent, up from 18.4 percent. Full article.
