Vending Machine Crime Is Up, Says North Carolina Police Department

Vending machine and coin machine crime is up in Wilmington, NC, WECT reports. The Wilmington Police Department has reported an increased number of machine break-ins over other years. In 2014 alone the department has had 18 break-ins, mostly at night and at machines that are “hidden”. The police department recommends several steps to reduce vending machine theft, including using machines that only accept credit or debit cards. Full article.
