Rubi Partners With Vending Operators To Place Micro Cafes

July 2, 2014

Seattle, WA-based Feniks Inc is partnering with vending operators in several states to place its Rubi Micro Cafés. The Rubi whole-bean to cup coffee vending machines elevate the consumer experience with a large touchscreen, engaging graphical interface, small attached counter and premium quality coffee. Previously owned and operated by Outerwall, Rubi is now looking to partner with existing vending operators in locations that have the potential to vend 30 cups a day.

“Rubi can go anywhere an operator wants to sell more coffee,” Jim Craig, co-founder Feniks Inc., told VMW. “Where there is demand for premium coffee, it’s a no brainer. We consider Rubi an automated coffee shop.”

Craig cites public venues, colleges and universities, hospitals, even workplaces where employees would want to buy a premium cup of coffee from a machine. Already, Rubi has partnered with operators in Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL, as well as Richmond and Van Nuys, CA. “We’re looking for operators as excited about quality coffee as we are.” Craig added. “We are reeducating the consumer that great coffee can come from a machine.”
