New York State’s Highest Court Kills NYC Ban On Big Soda

The New York State Court of Appeals did not reinstate New York City’s ban on large sugary drinks, according to Nation’s Restaurant News. The law sought to prohibit the sale of sugary beverages over 16 ounces at places such as restaurants and movie theaters. Members in the soft-drink industry have lobbied to defeat the soda ban since it was introduced in 2012. Full article.
