NAMA EDP Program Scheduled For October – Focus On Developing High Potential Leaders

June 26, 2014

(CHICAGO) June 25, 2014 – Joann DeNardis, NAMA’s Director of Education/Certification, announced today that registration is open and new scholarships are available for the 2014 Executive Development Program, which will take place October 19-23 at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich.

Designed for senior level leaders, the program aims to teach key decision makers how to move a company to the next level in the competitive marketplace. EDP will also provide attendees with techniques for growing business revenue, solving complex business problems and enhancing personal leadership skills.

“The program’s mission is to accelerate the careers of high potential leaders, providing them with the tools and techniques necessary to succeed and grow in their professional lives,” DeNardis said.

The 2014 session will include a new, interactive workshop on generational marketing, led by Bonnie Knutson, Ph.D., a professor in The School of Hospitality Business in the Broad College of Business at MSU. The workshop will profile characteristics of varying generations of consumers, and participants will develop marketing strategies to reach specific age groups.

In addition, EDP attendees will participate in an interactive case study, network and brainstorm through classroom discussion and social activities, and will complete the course with a customized Personal Action Plan, documenting ideas and strategies for immediate application in the workplace.

Other course topics will include strategic leadership, vending technology and communication and negotiation, taught by a panel of MSU’s most distinguished faculty, along with vending and refreshment industry experts.

“The NAMA EDP is a tremendous educational experience with exceptional content and world class educators,” said 2013 EDP graduate Shane Burleigh, of Coca-Cola Refreshments, in a testimonial. “The value I will be bringing back to my organization will help further our business objectives and the development of my team.”

For more information and to register for the program, visit NAMA’s website, www.vending.org. Three scholarships will be awarded to EDP attendees this year through the NAMA Foundation. Those interested in applying must complete the scholarship application online through NAMA’s website by June 30. The EDP registration link and the scholarship application are both housed under the “Education” tab on the website.
