Meat Prices Increase To All-Time High

Meat, fish and poultry prices have increased sharply to an all-time high, according to the New York Post. A report from the U.S. Department of Labor shows that ground beef prices have risen 11 percent while pork prices have increased 9.4 percent and fish prices have risen 4.2 percent compared to this time last year. Poultry prices have gone up 1.3 percent.

Drought, thinning cattle herds and a pork virus are all believed to be causing the increase in meat prices. Full article.
