Carolines’ Refreshments Lands Contract To Distribute Krispy Kreme Coffee In OCS, Vending

June 4, 2014

Carolines’ Refreshments located in Atlanta, GA, has landed a multi-year contract to distribute Krispy Kreme Coffee to the office coffee service (OCS) and vending market in the Atlanta area.

“My partner and I had a contact at Krispy Kreme and we made a presentation to them to get them into the OCS and vending industry,” Jeff Little, co-owner of Carolines’ Refreshments, told VendingMarketWatch. “They liked our presentation and we worked with them for about a year to develop the design of the package, content weights and market potential.”  Each case of 24 count frac pack coffee contains a coupon for a free dozen glazed doughnuts. “The coupon is a huge plus for the end user and can also be used by the OCS operator to go after more accounts,” said Little. He predicts the Krispy Kreme K-Cup should be available by the end of 2014.

Carolines’ Refreshments is currently selling the coffee through Vendors Supply in Atlanta but hopes to take the product nationally within the year.

The company will be distributing House Blend, Dark Roast and Decaf coffee.
