Trend: Consumers Calling For More Innovative Sandwiches

On average, 46 percent of the sandwiches consumers eat are purchased away from home, according to Technomic’s Sandwich Consumer Trend Report. The report found that 33 percent of consumers revealed they are more likely to try new and unique flavors and ingredients on sandwiches than on other types of food, while 87 percent of consumers say they have purchased a sandwich away from home in the past two months.
