Composite Indicator Coffee Price Jumps 24 Percent In February

The International Coffee Organization’s (ICO) monthly average composite indicator price increased 24.4 percent in February compared to January 2014, according to the ICO. The daily price of coffee increased by over 50 percent between Jan. 30, 2014 and Mar. 10, 2014 due mainly to the drought in Brazil. This is the highest monthly percentage increase since May 1997.
