Apriva To Exhibit At TRANSACT 14 April 8 To 10 In Las Vegas, Nevada

March 25, 2014

Apriva announced that it will participate at the TRANSACT 14 Conference and Expo, scheduled for April 8 to 10 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. Among the solutions that the company will display include its Apriva POS Universal Application™, which allows merchant services providers to simultaneously deliver compliance and feature updates to disparate terminal families, as well as AprivaPay™ Plus, its full-featured mobile payments application. Apriva will be located at booth 612 throughout the exhibition.

“TRANSACT 14 is the premier meeting place for providers and customers in the global payments and transactions ecosystem,” said Stacey Finley Tappin, the company’s senior vice president for North America sales and marketing communications, in a prepared statement. “It is the perfect venue to showcase Apriva’s broad scope of merchant solutions, and demonstrate how they can improve operations and profitability for our channel partners and their merchants. We are looking forward to participating in this event, and demonstrating our most recent innovations.”

Apriva’s Universal Application significantly improves the delivery of compliance and feature updates to point-of-sale terminals, according to the release. The application has a common interface and functionality across multiple terminal families and communications technologies, simplifying support and the expensive and cumbersome process of updating merchant terminal software. Through small push updates delivered at settlement time, merchant services providers can update combinations of dial, wireless and IP terminals in less than five minutes, compared to current methods which may take as much as 40 minutes for dial terminals, according to the release. Merchants can receive these updates without taking their terminals offline, eliminating any disruption to their business. The common interface means that merchant help desks only need to be trained once and only one set of documentation needs to be produced.

In addition, Apriva will demonstrate its AprivaPay Plus mobile commerce solution at TRANSACT 14. An intuitive, user-friendly application, AprivaPay Plus turns iOS and Android smartphones and tablets into mobile point-of-sale terminals, enabling merchants to process card-based payments, check transaction recording, and cash-based sales. Merchants can use the app to perform multiple tasks, such as setting sales tax rates and incorporating tipping right into the app. Additionally, Apriva will be showcasing the new mobile payments web companion portal that supplements the mobile payment application.

Along with exhibiting its mobile commerce solutions, Apriva’s Brian Sadowski, senior vice president for information technology, will participate in the session “ISVs and Merchant Services Providers: Partnerships That Lead To New Growth Opportunities.” That forum is scheduled for April 9 at 2:45 p.m.
