Alaska Proposes Initiative To Raise Minimum Wage $2 Over Two Years

Alaska seeks to raise the minimum wage $2.00 over two years, according to The New York Times. The initiative, certified by Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell, will raise the minimum wage from $7.75 per hour to $9.75 per hour. The proposal will appear on the state’s August ballot. Full article.
