Chapco, Inc. Acquires Fastcorp Vending

Feb. 20, 2014

Chapco, Inc. announces the acquisition of Fastcorp Vending. Fastcorp’s patented technology allows its customers to vend different types of products, which include frozen and refrigerated products, snacks and beverages, as well as non-traditional vending items. The acquisition gives Chapco an opportunity to extend its array of metal fabrication, contract manufacturing, assembly and new product development capabilities.

The year 2014 marks Chapco’s 50th anniversary of providing exceptional metal fabrication, contract manufacturing and assembly services, according to the release. Within the past decade, Chapco has added product development to its core competencies, offering engineering services to outside clients, as well as a diverse line of its own products. Denlar Fire Protection offers the world’s only integrated fire suppression range hood system, providing commercial style fire protection for residential-grade applications. The products have become the basis of design for new commercial building code requirements, driving sales growth exceeding 50 percent in each of the last two years. Samsara Fitness recently introduced the TrueForm Runner, the world’s only non-motorized treadmill that teaches proper running form. Having just launched last year, the TrueForm Runner has received accolades from industry professionals, the world’s elite runners and experienced trainers. Due to expansion in business, Chapco, Inc. just opened a 10,000 square foot assembly and research development facility just minutes away from its main facility in Chester, Conn.

“We are very excited about the acquisition. We added a great product line to our portfolio and gained some economies of scale for our fabrication and assembly business. Some initial focus for Fastcorp will be integrating state-of-the-art technology to the machine and exploring various non-conventional vending markets,” said Brian Weinstein, president of Chapco, Inc., in a prepared statement.
