Feb. 20, 2014

The USConnect family of companies conducted its winter meeting in Tampa, Fla. on Feb. 6 and 7. Along with representatives from 23 of the current affiliate companies, 12 strategic supplier companies were involved, resulting in more than 70 attendees.

The meeting covered a wide range of subjects including vending machine connectivity, social media interaction, branding initiatives, micro markets, cashless vending, end consumer promotions and national account sales. USConnect is committed to transforming the industry through cashless vending, integrated micro markets and the resulting consumer relationship created by its proprietary USConnect Rewards Card, according to the release. USConnect’s dietitian discussed the need for a continued emphasis on healthy vending and premium, fresh food choices for micro markets and dining venues.  The national account sales program is rapidly expanding with the signing of three major national accounts representing over 100 facilities nationwide.

“It is so rewarding to bring all these outstanding operators together on a regular basis,” said Jeff Whitacre, CEO of USConnect, in a prepared statement. “The sharing of best practices and the building of a true nationwide vending and food service network is so key to the long term success of the outstanding American owned and operated industry leading companies represented in the USConnect family.”
