Original Shareholders Acquire Bluedrop Water Filtration, Vending

Bluedrop, a water filtration and vending services firm, announced that the company has been acquired by Mark Dickinson, one of the company’s original shareholders, and Brendan Dickinson, who has served as a key member of Bluedrop’s leadership team for the past three years.

Effective Jan. 1, 2014, the Dickinsons become majority owners of the Randolph, Mass.-based company which is operating under the name Bluedrop LLC. The Website remains www.bluedropwater.com.

Bluedrop, which has built a reputation for its purified drinking water solutions for commercial, office and home applications, is retaining its original shareholders. Founder Ken Kellaway, CEO of RoadOne, a national intermodal logistics firm, is remaining active with the business serving as vice chairman. Brendan Dickinson is serving as Bluedrop’s president and Keith Whitestone is serving as the company’s executive vice president. Mark Dickinson, company chairman, is president of Dickinson Development.

According to Brendan Dickinson, Bluedrop LLC is offering an extensive portfolio of purified water and ice equipment, focusing on three distinct product/business categories:

  • Purified water and ice vending kiosks – ideal for high-traffic retail environments.
  • Purified office water coolers – designed to reduce waste and increase savings.
  • Healthy vending – fully customizable healthy snack vending kiosks that often include a purified water refilling station.
