Jan. 24, 2014

Industry veteran Ernest “Ernie” Wright died in Conway, Ark. on Jan. 11, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.

Wright began his industry career with Polyvend in 1964 and held various positions within that organization for 33 years until it was purchased by Crane National Vendors in 1997. Following the acquisition of Polyvend by Crane National Vendors, Wright assumed the role of marketing representative covering the states of Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana and Western Tennessee.

He remained with National Vendors until his retirement in 2005, culminating an impressive 40-year industry career. Former business associate Kevin Caid said, “Ernie was one of the most customer focused individuals that I have had the privilege of working with. During his 40-year industry career he always strived to take care of his customers in a manner that created lasting friendships. Even today, following his retirement in 2005, I still have customers asking about him throughout the U.S. He was truly an industry pioneer that will be deeply missed by his family and industry friends.”

Wright is survived by his sons, Byron Wright of Orlando, Fla. and Lance Wright (Monica) and his grandson Landon Wright of Conway, Ark. He is also survived by 8 sisters, 3 brothers and many nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Services were held on Jan. 15, 2014 at the Central Baptist Church in Conway, Ark. with Rev. Don Chandler officiating. Visit the online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
