General Mills was named to FORTUNE's annual list of the "100 Best Companies to Work For." General Mills placed 64th on this year's list. General Mills has made the prestigious list 11 times since first appearing in 1998.
"We believe investing in talent is a key ingredient to our organization's success," said Mike Davis, executive vice president of global human resources for General Mills, in a prepared statement. "Without a doubt, workplace culture and business performance go hand-in-hand, so we strive to develop our employees by giving them opportunities both inside and outside of the company to stretch and grow. By doing so, we encourage employees to achieve their best while ensuring strong leadership for the future."
General Mills is recognized among other companies such as Google, The Boston Consulting Group and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. General Mills is one of three Minnesota-based companies to make this year's list; Mayo Clinic and Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America were also honored by FORTUNE.
