AdvancePierre Foods announced that George Chappelle is its new senior vice president, supply chain, leading the manufacturing, procurement, demand management and customer service functions across the company. Chappelle comes to AdvancePierre with 30 years of global experience in supply chain, operations and information management with major food and non-food companies. He will report to CEO John Simons and work out of the company’s Cincinnati, Ohio headquarters.
Chappelle was most recently the chief operating officer for Vi-jon Inc., a private label personal care products company in St. Louis, Mo., and previously held leadership positions with Solo Cup, Sara Lee, H.J. Heinz and Gillette, among others.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Westfield State College, and a master’s degree in Applied Science from Lesley College.
