USDA Reports Coffee Stocks In Producing Countries Increases, Consuming Countries Plateau

A report published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture revealed that for the 2013/2014 year, ending stocks for coffee are forecast to continue increasing in producing countries while consuming countries remain unchanged. It is predicted that Brazil’s production will decrease while Vietnam’s coffee production will increase to a record 28.5 million bags. The U.S., the second largest importer of coffee beans, is forecast to increase imports to 23.5 million bags from top suppliers Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia. Full article
