Follett Corp. announced that all 7 Series ice-only dispensers with an integral air-cooled ice machine producing up to 125 pounds (56.7 kg) of popular Chewblet® ice daily are now ENERGY STAR® qualified. According to ENERGY STAR standards, “These ENERGY STAR ice machines are on average 15 percent more energy efficient than standard models.”
The 7 Series ice-only dispenser comes in countertop, undercounter and freestanding models to meet any design application serving up to 25 people. Other standard features include the following:
- Compact – Only 17.5” (445 mm) tall to fit on counters under cabinets
- Drainless – No drain required - place the 7 Series anywhere
- Sanitary – Hands-free ice dispensing to minimize cross contamination

It is important to note that only ice-only 7 Series dispensers are eligible for ENERGY STAR certification since at this time ENERGY STAR does not have a product specification for ice and water dispensers.
