Millionaire Seeks To Raise Minimum Wage In California

California millionaire, Ron Unz, is pursuing a ballot measure that would raise the minimum wage in California, according to the New York Times. Unz seeks to increase the current wage from $8 per hour to $10 per hour by 2015 and $12 per hour by 2016. Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation to increase the minimum wage to $10 an hour in 2016, earlier this year. Unz believes raising the minimum wage would cut government spending on social services and eliminate an education bubble. Full article.
