Vending Machines Allow College Faculty To Ride Buses For Free

Vending machine sales from the University of Texas at Austin that have been allowing faculty and staff members to ride the Capital Metro bus service for free are steadily decreasing, according to The Daily Texan. The university annually pays over $200,000 for faculty and staff to use the bus services free of charge with all funding coming directly from vending machine sales. The number of people using the service has been increasing while vending machine sales have been decreasing, causing the university to seek other ways to fund the transportation. Full article.
