Report: U.S. Unemployment Rate 7.2 Percent, September 2013

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that 148,000 jobs were created in the U.S. in the month of September, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. The unemployment rate fell slightly from 7.3 percent to 7.2 percent while employment increased in construction, wholesale trade, transportation and warehousing. The report was released two weeks late due to the government shutdown. Full report.
